In less than two weeks, you and I have an incredible opportunityto help stimulate and push forward legislation that could ensureour borders are secured. The Fence By Date Certain Act is a critical piece of legislationthat would restore the original mandates in the Secure FenceAct--most notably the promise to build 800 miles of doublelayered fencing. As of this update, less than 13 miles of double layered fencinghas been erected! This is unacceptable to me, and it should be to you as well. Not long ago, President Bush, after touring the crime-ridden streetsof Yuma, Arizona, pledged to purge the city of illegal aliens, violent gangs and drug smugglers. He succeeded by building a double-layered fence--similar to whatwe were all promised! On June 10, Ron De Jong and I will be in Washington,to present petitions to key House leaders, during ournational press event, I will take to the podium--withpetitions in hand, and I will demand the President do forus what he did in Yuma--but I need your immediate help! Mark, over the next week leading up to what I believecould be our most important petition presentation, I'm soundingthe alarm for EVERY member of our team to go the extra mile andhelp me rally the needed signatures to push us past the 250,000petition mark! That's right. I want to present Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) with aquarter of a million petitions from citizens around the nationwho are demanding the original fence mandate be restored! Right now we are about 30,000 signatures shy of our quarter milliongoal, but I believe with your help we can reach and even surpassthat number prior to our presentation. ++Action Item--Rally your friends Forward this message to 25-35 friends and family urgingthem to take action by signing our petition demanding thefence be built as promised, by clicking here: www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=7858&PID=16457

I had sent an email to Eric Cantor with my concerns about the Globall Warming bill that was before the Senate this week. It was shelved as they did not get the 60 votes necessay to push it forward, thank you God for the help! It is scary though that they did get 48 votes. I received a letter today snail mail with an original signature from Representative Cantor. Dear- Thank you for contacting me to share your opposition to global warming legislation and express your support for increased domestic energy exploration. I appreciate hearing from you and having the benefit of your views. I strongly believe that America must dramatically increase its exploration and development of the substantial energy resources present within our boundaries. With prices soaring at the pump, we must allow for energy exploration in places like the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the Outer-Continental Shelf. I have co-sponsored legislation, the National Environment and Energy Development Act (H. R. 2784), which would expand domestic energy exploration and bring down gas prices. America should develop its domestic energy resources while at the same time increasing oil refinery capacity and pursuing the development of alternative energy resources. I will continue to work to reduce our dependence on foreign energy and to lower prices for consumers through much-needed domestic energy exploration. You may be assured that I will also keep your opposition in mind as legislation pertaining to global warming comes before me in the House of Representatives. Like you, I believe Congress must consider the impact that such legislation will have on economic growth, job creation, and the price of energy. Again, thank you for contacting me. For your convenience, you may receive further information from me on the issues important to the 7th Districe at cantor.house.gov Your thoughts and comments are always welcome. Sincerely, Eric Cantor Member of Congress

I need this reminder a lot myself: inform conservative organizations about the Thompson Coalition and ask if they'd like to work with us to achieve common goals.

Every time I go out blogging on other sites I try to mention the Thompson Coalition. I guess I should mention it EVERY time I blog elsewhere
