I focus on the power elites here in most of what I say because elsewhere, I can't because I'll be viewed as a crackpot and destroy my credibility. Most people think policy is ultimately made at Washington, D.C. and that Pelosi needs to get her act together on gas prices. The Club of Rome is raising the gas prices to harm business and make a socialist solution look promising (oil monopoly is the "solution"). Sorry if it annoys to keep talking about it in this context, but I think it makes everything crystal-clear about what we need and how to get there.

I say, let creationist be creationist! This young man is as active and accomplishment oriented as anyone here, and we need his energy! We must all do what we can, in our own way... Right? I brought up the CFR, and it is good to know the truth. Creationist surely belongs. He is our future, folks, and he MUST know what we are up against.

The oil problem most certainly is a distraction, however, what are you going to say that will get attention, that the Committee of 300 is behind it? I am personally sick of the power elite talk I could puke. NO ONE is going to buy that, NO ONE! I most certainly believe it is the culprit, but prolly 98% of the population would think that is crazy talk. We need to go after the people who are instituting it without the conspiracy theory talk.

No--I'll be the first to say that you have to go into conspiracy stuff gradually and have believable sources. Would you like it if I confined conspiracy talk to the Tin Foil Hat thread alone, so you could get a break from the nightmare? I'd be willing to do that for a while, if that would make you feel better. How are we to go about getting lower gas costs and demanding utilization of local fuel sources? Does the government have any say about that, or just the oil companies? And is it decided on the local level, or by Washington, D.C.? The government in Washington, D.C. is much harder to influence because it is much more closely connected to the Washington, D.C. Club of Rome HQ and the NYC Council on Foreign Relations. Romney used to say, when "change" became a buzzword, "I will change Washington." He talks about rebuilding it as a skilled businessman, but as I've learned more, he sounds to me like a liar who is trying to peddle business to get into power. I really think he was being coached at those debates where the microphone placement allowed TV audiences to hear whispered words right before he spoke them. And I'm quite confident in that statement, because the news media tried to come up with an explanation that didn't even convince ME--and I tend to be gullible.

This forum has fallen asleep! I appreciate everyone's humor more than each know, regular laughs keep us awake and always alert. I admit I took time off from the issues to splash in the pool with the kids this weekend, tomorrow is on the horizon and Washington is going to be making lame decisions for political security and they need to hear our voices!!! Now I can speak loudly because I have shed my bashfullness and started letting my Rep.s know how I really feel and it feels really good! Be an American, be a part of our history for further generations help keep those that don't want their names spoken in line!!!!

How are the citizens going to do that when they have no say in not only the process, but who is chosen for the electoral collage members. It won't change for the 2008 elections, but, let's wait and see what happens between now and Nov.. As BrianB had said, hold onto your seats as we are in for a very very wild ride.

This is a call to action. Join the American Revolution. Just 17% Say Federal Government Represents Will of the People Just 17% of voters say that the federal government represents the will of the American people. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 68% disagree and 15% are not sure These views are consistent across partisan and demographic lines. Men, women, young, old, Republican, Democrat, conservative, liberal, all offer a bleak assessment of what is supposed to be a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.” Sixty-seven percent (67%) of voters say that the federal government has become a special interest group that looks out primarily for its own interest. Just 15% disagree with that assessment. www.rasmussenreports.com/public_c....l_of_the_peopleNo pie-in-the-sky stay with the Republican party with lack of statistical substantiation. We the people are fed up with Democrats and Republicans alike. The move is on folks: Voters Ready For Baldwin
