This is not only a CALL TO ACTION, but a PERSONAL CHALLENGE. There are many situations in the world right now, that may lead to situations that will be less than ideal. There is much tension escalating between the former SOVIET UNION and Georgia. It appears as if the Clinton's may challenge Obama for the Democrat Nomination, which may add to the racial tensions here in America, which has the potential to lead to devastating consequences for many of us. Israel, most likely, will not stand for Iran acquiring nuclear weapons. The Straits of Hormuz, much of which is controlled by Iran, are vital to the survival of our nation. Up to 40% of the world's supply of petroleum passes through the Straits of Hormuz.
Obviously, we are at a CRITICAL TIME in history. We owe it to those who came before us, to our families and ourselves, to BE PREPARED. I cannot, in good conscious, not share this information with you, despite what you may think about me for sharing it.
The following items are a good idea to have on hand in your home:
*Canned food, bottled water (1 gallon of water/person/day), manual can opener, plastic silverware (DON'T FORGET YOUR FOUR-LEGGED FAMILY MEMBERS!)
(Highly acidic canned food, such as anything with tomatoes, does not store well)
*Weapons and ammunition
(The more the merrier!!! )
*Cash
(Include small bills)
*Gasoline and gas cans
*Matches, lighter, flint
*Flashlight and extra batteries
(Batteries are good!!! )
*First Aid Kit
(Include items such as knife, scissors, wrench, pliers, latex gloves, aspirin, prescription medication, etc.)
*Emergency radio
(Red Cross makes an excellent radio that does not require batteries, and includes many chargers for cell phones, etc.)
*Cell phone and charger
(Include a written list of all of your contacts and emergency telephone numbers)
*Copies of birth certificates and identification, as well as photos of pets, copies of bank account information and insurance policies, weapon permits, etc.
(it is a good idea to keep all of this together in plastic bags or containers)
*Candles
(Lilac or rose scented, preferable! )
*Canned heat, small electric stove, extra canisters of gas, if you have a gas grill
*Ice cooler
*Blankets, boots, gloves, etc.
(Don't forget warmth for your pets!)
*Toiletries
(Include moist towelettes, hand sanitizer, feminine hygiene products, etc.)
*Generator
(Make sure to include a heavy duty chain and lock)
*Maps
(In case you need to leave, for any reason)
*Coffee
(if you are addicted to caffeine, like I am! )
*PLEASE NOTE: I do not have children and thus children's special needs may not be included on this list. I'm sure there are many items that I have forgotten. Please feel free to add to this list.
THERE IS SOMETHING SO EMPOWERING WHEN YOU DO NOT NEED TO RELY ON ANY GOVERNMENT OR MAN!!!!!
*ALSO NOTEWORTHY: There is NO PLASTIC SHEETING AND DUCT TAPE ON THIS LIST!!!!!
*MOST NOTEWORTHY: I AM NOT A SURVIVALIST, JUST A REALIST!!!!!!!!
