Good post, ddog6! Why indeed is the BBC reporting what American media does not? HHHHhhhhhmmmm? At some point soon We The People will have to make it clear we will not accept the way "news" is being handled. I truly believe the msm is running out of ways to spin, but, we must make it clear to them that they are. Credit? Any animal over any liberal.

Here's what I think we should do to "kick off" the "effort" here. We should come up with a "letter" we can all send to someone within the REP party that will decide WHO will speak at the convention. I have this dream that it is a "deadlocked" convention and imagine FRED in a position like ZELL!!!!!! No, he would not have the same, I jumped ship power, but imagine his ability to CONTRAST the CONSERVATIVE view!!!!!! Just a dream but God wouldn't it be great!!!!!!! GOD BLESS Jeff Childress St. Louiss Awesomely excellent idea Jeff. On the new web site you will all find the physical address, phone number and email addy of the RNC Chairman on the "Call To Action" page.

Does anyone remember the agricultural bill that came up in the House several months ago concerning giving illegals benefits under that bill with taxpayer funds? The repubs. won the vote of no to the bill. It wasn't what the dems wanted so they went beyond the gavel and kept voting in order to get the outcome they wanted. It is amazing to me that the repubs. (in the minority now) have been able to accomplish anything. The latest travesty has been to not even bring the FISA bill to a vote, even though it passed in the Senate, and was expected to pass in the House. The Repubs. are looking at major defeat in 2008 with the retirements, and the Congress doesn't look as it will be able to take back the house even though they have the lowest approval rating in history. It feels to me that the under 30's are going to decide the next president of the US even though they have no more political history knowledge than the man in the moon.

Diesel, The American People and the Great "Wisdom" of our process and voters, has always seemed to equal out over the years. I agree that the "under 30's" might well decide this but remember one thing....."Boomers" outnumber them by a "Country Mile"!!!!!!!!!!!! The deciding factor will be as it has always been...............TURNOUT.............We can influence that!!!!!!!!!! God Bless Jeff Childress St. Louis That is why I so strongly disagree with those that say they just won't vote this time; or they are promoting boycotting the elections all together. That's how left-wingers win Congress and the Senate. Anyone "not voting" is also not voting for the House and Senate.

We really need everyone with congressional elections this year for their state to let us know which candidate in their state supports our ideals and we can all try to support them. We cannot vote for them but there are many ways to support candidates through posts, donations and word of mouth. We all have friends and relatives we may influence as to how to vote. We need to work as hard on the state representation as the presidential race.

Exactly! Just imagine folks like us nationwide, fighting for the right Conservatives. Making noise on that person or persons behalf! It has to make the difference...

Thanks rayman. Sort of adds fuel to the fire in terms of that "bogus" endorsement. I'll have to look to see if the same thing happen in WI when it comes to filing an official withdraw notice ... see if there's a trend. Then again the ballot was finalized on Jan. 2 so ...
On another note anyone else notice that Juan has been silent on the whole Berkeley situation?? Details at Try2Focus (yes fruitless pandering lol) including a great video by the NRSC (?) on the matter.

Hi Guys~ This is off topic a bit.....and I just don't know where else to put it...so I just picked this spot, hope no one minds!
I had heard yesterday that the New York Philharmonic was going to be playing in North Korea today....well, I wasn't to keen on the idea....actually, in all honesty....it really rubbed me the wrong way........aren't the North Koreans on the other team???!! ..............I just saw and heard them (on video) in North Korea playing OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM....and it was spectacular!! That song is so moving...and on stage next to them, gently swaying, was our AMERICAN FLAG! Then it got me thinking.....I wonder how many in the audience were dreaming about how great freedom must be........while they listened to this beautiful song. I still don't know it was a good idea or not that they went.... I am, however, happy that if they "had" to go they took enough pride in being Americans that they played our anthem and proudly displayed our flag.

Sheryl, the same mixed feelings thought crossed my mind, as I automatically thought of the NYTimes...wondering if they sponsored the trip.
Oh, that was before the newscast added that Eric Clapton would be going soon too, "the first time and American rocker...."
Um, seems to be he's English....
By the way, in addition to "The Star Spangled Banner", they also played North Korea's national anthem.

uuebmeister~ Yea...I sorta figured that they would play the host country anthem..... ...but North Korea? Come on' they haven't kept one agreement that they've made with us... It seems like I hear the Canadian anthem almost every night of hockey season.....My guys and one gal are huge hockey fans.....especially the Sabres!!! I hadn't heard the story about Eric Clapton....I have one of his CD's in my stereo right now...i really enjoy his music but, ....I must say I am not too impressed with his selected venue....Maybe we should send him a link to the Thompson Coalition and get him up to date on real American Values!!!! Very exciting article...almost sounds like the author is suggesting and encouraging voters to vote against McCain! Open convention here we come!
