My brother a hardcore Clinton supporter asked why I had spend my money to support Fred, and why I spent money to advertise in a local paper for Fred...I think the Thompson Coalition will appreciate the passon of my email. I love my brother very much so don't think bad of him but he did ask why.
I supported Fred because he was a regular guy that based his rhetoric on the wisdom of the ages, and on the founding fathers version of the constitution. I supported Fred because he had not eaten from the public trough his entire adult life. He didn't believe that big goverment could solve human problems, he believe that the few should not be slaves to the many that just refuse to work. He believed our rights are given to us by God and not goverment. He believed that the main stream media should entertain instead of doling out propaganda in the form of lies and mistruths. When Fred was in the debates he appeared to be the only adult on the stage, his answers were thoughtful unless he was joking. I believe the majority of the electorate have shallowly cast their vote for the main stream media's favorite with little research into their decision. I could go on and on why I felt Fred was a genuine leader, but there is no need to sulk. As it is I read; that we don't get the President we need but we get the President we deserve. Here's the two ads I ran in the Bradford Telegraph before Fred dropped out of the election. I don't believe I'll get as passonate about another candidate.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Support The Real Conservative Fred Thompson on Traditional American Values Protecting Life Fred Thompson is pro-life. He believes in the sanctity of human life and that every life is worthy of respect. He had a 100% pro-life voting record in the Senate and believes Roe v. Wade was a bad decision that ought to be overturned. He consistently opposed federal funding to promote or pay for abortion and supported the Partial Birth Abortion Act, the Child Custody Protection Act, and President Reagan's Mexico City policy*. While Fred Thompson supports adult stem cell research, he opposes embryonic stem cell research. He also opposes human cloning.
Supporting Marriage Fred Thompson believes marriage is the union of one man and one woman, and that this institution is the foundation of society. As such, he supported the Defense of Marriage Act when he served in the Senate. He supports a constitutional amendment to prevent activist judges from misreading the Constitution to force same-sex marriage on any state and on our society.
Protecting our Kids While censorship is dangerous, obscenity is not legally protected, and laws against it should be vigorously enforced. Parents need to be empowered to protect their children from inappropriate matter, whether on TV, in video games, or on the computer. And we must do all we can to fight the explosion of child pornography over the Internet.
Limiting the Role of the Judiciary For many years, the judiciary has been too eager to engage in social engineering under the guise of interpreting the Constitution. Fred Thompson is a lawyer who understands the difference between interpreting the law and making it. He is committed to appointing judges who understand and respect that difference and who will only interpret and apply the law, not make it. When President Bush needed someone to shepherd the nomination of John Roberts to be Chief Justice of the United States, he turned to Fred Thompson, who steered the Roberts nomination to its successful confirmation. John Roberts represents the kind of judges Fred Thompson would seek to appoint as President.

*President Reagan's Mexico City policy. "It prohibits aid being given to international family planning organizations that provided abortion counseling, -- or provide abortions, or which advocated abortion access -- in as little as one country.

FRED THOMPSON a Commonsense Conservative Supports Federalism: the 10th Amendment
Do you really believe the Federal government is going to solve your problems? The response I always get from friends is “no”. They recognize that regardless of whose in Washington, whether they are Democrats or Republicans, the Federal government is simply too far away from our everyday lives to make an impact. It’s like hiring a contractor 500 miles away to fix the roof.
”The federal government should do only those things specifically called for in the Constitution. All others shall remain with the states or the people ...” Ronald Reagan Nov. 13, 1979 calling for a return to Federalism as described in 10th Amendment
A CATO Institute article FREDeralism! Endorsing Fred Thompson says “If elected, would today's GOP candidates be Bush Republicans or Reagan Republicans? Romney, McCain, and Giuliani talk about cutting federal "waste" and "pork." But the problem with the $2.8 trillion federal budget is not $30 billion in pork; it is $2 trillion of spending that violates the 10th Amendment to the Constitution as properly the responsibility of the states and the people.” Another, CATO Institute article Huckabee: The Biggest Big-Government Conservative says “If you liked George W. Bush's brand of big-spending, big-government conservatism, you'll love Mike Huckabee. ... Huckabee rejects federalist solutions..”
Presidential Candidate Fred Thompson on the other hand points out how the 10th amendment is abuse by those
currently in Washington saying ”Perhaps the clearest example of federal over-involvement in state and local responsibilities is public education. It's the classic case of how the federal government buys authority over state and local matters with tax-payer money and ends up squandering both the authority and the money while imposing additional burdens on states. Between 1970 and 2005, federal spending on education increased nearly 150 percent without results to match. The No Child Left Behind law itself increased federal funding by some 26 percent, while creating 50 new educational programs nationally, imposing almost 7 million hours and more than 140 million dollars in compliance time and costs. The classrooms of America, where the learning actually takes place, receive but 61 cents out of every tax-payer dollar appropriated.”
Fred Thompson is the only Commonsense Conservative that would work to Reduce Federal Mandates that would help state taxpayers across the board.

I just did some checking to see if I could find out what happened to Freds delegates. He had something like 11 I think. First- The Republicans don't have superdelegates. Accoring to History.com- The RNC seats 153 unpledged delegates. So far the count as of 2/14/08 is:
McCain 63 Romney 25 Huckabee 3 Paul 0 NOT COMMITTED "62"
That gives me hope that just maybe the RNC will be so blasted against McCain as the nominee that there are enough "unpledged" delegates at the convention ready to choose someone else, enter right stage, or as in Krell's dream "the Fred Bus" and he wins the nomination. A girl can dream!

I believe that prior to officially endorsing McCain Romney had to release his delegates per the rules - at least I heard somewhere that has to be done. That's why he asked that his delegates back McCain. So of that unpledged total of 153 you should be able to add that 25 to the 62 uncommitted.
