Choose option A! If a conservative group will actually dare to do this, we can win! I didn't think ANY conservative group would break away from the prevailing "support" for McCain that Republicans in general have resigned themselves to! Is Grassfire really willing to break ground and make a full-fledged statement, not just against the environmentalism and amnesty, but against MCCAIN HIMSELF? ?

I'm not sure if Grassfire will make a public statement against McCain. I will call them and ask them today. It's just 8:30 here so they wont be in the office for another 1/2 hour. I think they are in Idaho I may need to wait til 10:00?? not sure. I will find out today. I do know that they are willing to participate in an Anti-Amnesty/Anti-Illegal Immigration Rally and will distribute information and even send a speaker. If we go with plan B- anti-government rally, we can list our demands and try and force McCain to agree to them if elected. We can call him out publically.

This is the kind of thing we would be protesting in plan B:
The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it. While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans
It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division
Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), is presently asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans .
Interesting number, what does it mean?
A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.
B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.
< HELLO! >
Are all the calculators in Washington DC broken??

What happened? Can you spell 'politicians!' And I still have to 'press 1' for English.
It's not just McCain-it's ALL OF THEM-the government is WAY out of control. Stopping all of them also stops McCain. I think this is a better route-Anti-government. Thoughts??

loriel- You always have the greatest posts which seem to put things into perspective, such as "thinking in billions." That was great. The more I think about it, you are probably correct that the rally should be more against what our government is doing such as the illegal immigration issue. Short of McCain falling ill (which I don't hope for anyone), he will be our nominee no matter what he has to do to get there. If Clinton gets the dem. nomination over Obama, she will be stealing it. The same applies to McCain, he has stolen the nomination from the real conservative Fred, or even those much more conservative then him. The elite machine is alive and well I'm not sure that the illegal immigration issue is the best issue to rally against as there are and have been far more grassroots efforts to stop it. It is a major issue however, in this current period, the Global Warming issue needs alot more attention as it's consequences are right in our faces right now. McCain is a strong supporter of the whole hoax. He just now told Glenn Beck that he would no more drill in ANWAR than he would in the Grand Cannon. I doubt that he has filled his own gas tank or gone grocery shopping in years. I think to rally around one issue at a time would have more impact than to dilute the issues. If the first rally is successful, we can always have more. Also, if the rally is successful, other groups will be encouraged to bring their issues to the Capitol. I think you are correct in that we would probably get alot fewer big names going after one candidate rather than what is really ailing us.

C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age. D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet. Do you really believe in evolution? These statements are not fact but theory from the the theory of evolution. I accept the Biblical account of creation which states men were made 1 day after fish and birds were created and the same day animals were created. Other then that, I think your post is right on and we should push to stop such misuse of our money and the insult on our intelligence! Lead the way Loriel!

These statements are not fact but theory from the the theory of evolution. I accept the Biblical account of creation which states men were made 1 day after fish and birds were created and the same day animals were created. Heavens no!! Don't even get me started on evolution. Michael Behe's idea of Irreducible Complexity and other observations that point to ID have layed Darwin to waste. The monster lives and will continue to live as it is artificially animated by the Federal government. I know many of you have seen "Expelled"; Ben Stein's movie exposing the bias that dominates all facets of scientific education. Selling the idea that there is no God, is an important control mechanism of all forms of oligopoly. So, all grant monies, credibility, professorships, avenues to publication, etc., will continue to be lavished on those who peddle the hoax that all life forms evolved; and help sell the idea that the supreme authority is the government. We cannot PROVE ID-but it is becoming all to obvious that the atheists can neither PROVE Evolution. With over 80% of the fossil record uncovered- it's just a matter of time til they will be forced to relent. They already look ridiculous trying to prop up the corpse with nothing more than Archaeopteryx, and that walrus ankle joint. It's a joke at this point. I strongly suspect that Climate Change Hysteria is a population control scheme hatched to take the place of the theory of Evolution, which is, effectivily losing credibility and power over the minds of average people. I did not write the previous post about "Billions". It was forwarded to me by my sister; it's an internet buzz, and I assumed you all had seen it already. I posted here because it relates to what we are fighting. As the theme was to put the reality of the word "billion" into perspective, I failed to put the comment "our ancestors were living in the Stone Age" into the context of Evolution. Sorry. I am definitly a Christian. I believe in a young Earth. People used to live to be hundred of years old. I believe that the Earth and everthing on it began to experience excelerated aging (10X greater) after the Great Flood. That is when human life span was reduced to around 90 years. I think that that is why things on Earth appear to be older than they really are.

Speaking of the period directly after the Flood, has it ever puzzled you that Noah was righteous/blameless before the Flood, and then got drunk AFTERWARD?? Glaciers, the "Ice Age", and fermentation were undoubtedly aftereffects of the atmospheric changes, as are seasonal changes, I believe. There are several theories about this, but one is that a meteor penetrated the earth and unleashed the waters under the soil, and the earth broke into tectonic plates. The water gushed up and broke the atmosphere (a greenhouse kind of protection from harmful radiation). That's called the hydroplate-fracture theory. Protection from the sun's harmful radiation enabled people to live to almost 1000 before the Flood (Methuselah), and afterward, people gradually lived less and less (Genesis shows that in genealogies--take a look at Genesis 11). Genesis 9 (NIV): 18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.) 19 These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the earth. 20 Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard. 21 When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. 22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside. 23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father's nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father's nakedness.
24 When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, 25 he said, "Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers."
26 He also said, "Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem.
27 May God extend the territory of Japheth [c] ; may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be his [d] slave."
28 After the flood Noah lived 350 years. 29 Altogether, Noah lived 950 years, and then he died.

That's an interesting point about Noah, Creationist. What if Noah's sin had been the catalyst for excelerated aging?

Okay- back to the Demonstration..I called the Heritage Foundation and spoke at length with Colin from Coalition Relations. Heritage cannot participate if any of the issues are of a partisan nature. He directed me to a website that lists hundreds of groups that Heritage works with: policyexperts.org/organizations/organizations_results.cfm There are about 550 domestic groups, sponsering a variety of causes. So, we need to get on the phone with these people and see if we can count on their support. Ask them to join us at the ralley. Now- Before we begin calling-we need to iron out our Ralley objectives. Are we going against McCain or are we going against the Federal government? I think we should lay out demands similar to Newt Gingrich's "Contract With America" and demand that all Congressmen, Senators, and the President to sign it. Thoughts??

I wonder if his body was overreacting to fermentation--I doubt that grapes were sour at all before the Flood. I suppose we just don't know! (BTW, loriel, I wrote something that'll make you happy in the "Discussion" thread of "Calls to Action".)

I think the goal should be two-fold, which is really the same thing. Stop the amnesty and stop everything the North American Union will be able to do, like creating the "amero" currency and setting up an NAU police force. And ultimately get traitors impeached!

We have long felt that the illegal immigration issue has been one of the most important issues facing us today. IMHO the most pressing and important issue of today is to stop the NAU. With their plans, there will be no such status as illegal, and there will not only be open borders, but superhighways to allow anyone to travel thru our country at free will. But, then again, we already know that the truest and most evil terrorists are in our own Government

A lot of people just don't get it. They don't see how the NAU would destroy our liberty! I can hardly believe it.

We are truly at a crossroad in our country, and no matter which way you turn, you wind up at point A. If you go left you go with Obamas and Clintons road to Socialism, if you go right you go to McCains road to Socialism, if you go North you go to The Canadian road for NAU Socialism and worse, if you go South you go to the Mexican road to NAU Socialism and worse What do we do, other than sitting back and watching the traffic pass by
