Yeah, today Bush pushed the mexican truck program ahead full steam... How do you like that? And, the Republican National Comittee sent me a 2008 census to fill out, to help them figure out their agenda for the next ten years. How do you think that will go? I reckon I will start with dump McDim, get Fred in there and I assure you will be on the right track. First Principles, guys and gals, any questions? Ruch Limbaugh should tell the truth, instead of blowing smoke screens for neocons... But, he won't, just see the latest post in the TFE thread by our little buddy creationist... Believe it, or not? Oh, and I got yet ANOTHER package from the amensty seeking, cap and trade repukelican presumpt, with an 8 x 10 color photo of him and the harpee. All to ask me for money. Why not use the money from all that crap mail to pay for his campaign? I will be sending him some gringo bucks, and a hearty "No, but thanks for asking!". I will still vote Fred.

It's not like they care. I'm sure they've gotten millions of complaints and protests, but where's the organized resistance? Furthermore, who's boycotting the news media completely to protest the brainwashing outrage of "McCain vs. Obama; there are no other options"? I saw a dumb internet ad inviting you to vote about whether you're sick of the election stampede. People have been worn down because Stupid Tuesday happened so early and the fate of the Republican nomination was practically decided so long ago. And Huckabee's candidacy persisted long enough for conservatives' tempers about McCain to die down, since they were hoping for a brokered convention. Once Huck's candidacy ended, people accepted McCain as inevitable. I am very disgusted with the yellow conservatives who say they wanted anyone but McCain, who continue to voice complaints, but who do nothing to organize resistance. And I am convinced that groups which WANT to do such a thing are forbidden to do so by the elites who are forcing us to give McCain a free pass.

What THEY have been doing... Oh, great a full dose of McCain to go along with. Ya can't fight what you don't believe. And trust? I don't think so. Now, where did I leave my dang kevlar lined and dragon skin coated tin foil hat?

This may only be happening because it's an election year, but ...
the House Republicans continued their revolt in the PEOPLE'S House today. Apparently the plan is continue through the end of August. What's disappointing though is that not all the Republicans are there. That in itself isn't a big deal but then they need to be doing something in their districts.
As for the Dems they are doing nothing which is to be expected from a Congress that has the lowest approval ratings ever.

An organization has been granted a Federal Hearing on the same subject by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington D.C. Their petition, Number 2493, would ultimately pave the way to stop the reading of the Bible, on the airwaves of America and would also stop local radio stations from broadcasting church services or such religious shows.

Does this have to do with the misnamed "Fairness Doctrine", sbenn? I was reading about this crisis on RenewAmerica.us.

FCC Commissioner: Return of Fairness Doctrine Could Control Web Content McDowell warns reinstated powers could play in net neutrality debate, lead to government requiring balance on Web sites.
By Jeff Poor Business & Media Institute 8/13/2008 9:08:51 AM
There’s a huge concern among conservative talk radio hosts that reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine would all-but destroy the industry due to equal time constraints. But speech limits might not stop at radio. They could even be extended to include the Internet and “government dictating content policy.”
FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell raised that as a possibility after talking with bloggers at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. McDowell spoke about a recent FCC vote to bar Comcast from engaging in certain Internet practices – expanding the federal agency’s oversight of Internet networks.
The commissioner, a 2006 President Bush appointee, told the Business & Media Institute the Fairness Doctrine could be intertwined with the net neutrality battle. The result might end with the government regulating content on the Web, he warned. McDowell, who was against reprimanding Comcast, said the net neutrality effort could win the support of “a few isolated conservatives” who may not fully realize the long-term effects of government regulation.
“I think the fear is that somehow large corporations will censor their content, their points of view, right,” McDowell said. “I think the bigger concern for them should be if you have government dictating content policy, which by the way would have a big First Amendment problem.”
“Then, whoever is in charge of government is going to determine what is fair, under a so-called ‘Fairness Doctrine,’ which won’t be called that – it’ll be called something else,” McDowell said. “So, will Web sites, will bloggers have to give equal time or equal space on their Web site to opposing views rather than letting the marketplace of ideas determine that?”
McDowell told BMI the Fairness Doctrine isn’t currently on the FCC’s radar. But a new administration and Congress elected in 2008 might renew Fairness Doctrine efforts, but under another name.
“The Fairness Doctrine has not been raised at the FCC, but the importance of this election is in part – has something to do with that,” McDowell said. “So you know, this election, if it goes one way, we could see a re-imposition of the Fairness Doctrine. There is a discussion of it in Congress. I think it won’t be called the Fairness Doctrine by folks who are promoting it. I think it will be called something else and I think it’ll be intertwined into the net neutrality debate.”
A recent study by the Media Research Center’s Culture & Media Institute argues that the three main points in support of the Fairness Doctrine – scarcity of the media, corporate censorship of liberal viewpoints, and public interest – are myths.

This election is going to effect America more than I can actually comprehend IMHO! One step closer to U.S.S.A. vs Aztlan!
