Thanks Krell and D-dog this is what we need to concentrate on. We need to be aware and push our congressmen in the right direction. Also we must work to get good leaders elected this fall that will listen to us and do the will of the people and not the elite!

Wow, I still work in my old home congressional district, currently gerrymandered into that of the almost most liberal pit bull, Henry Waxman. But now I'm 'served' by THE Most liberal, Diane Watson. But hey, it's not all bad...her Republican challenger says she's quite the do-nothing. Her last item was allowing some sorority to use the Capital Grounds. But before that, she commended my Trojans for the Rose Bowl victory over Illinois!

The Pepublicans must keep drilling home the fact that this 100th congress has accomplished absolutely nothing.

Yes, but sometimes not doing some things is okay. Take the recent demise of the recent global smarm...er, 'climete change' bill. I'm not sure if the 10 hours reading of an updated version of the 491-page bill aloud counts as a filibuster, but it worked for now. That's why I'm not planning on jumping off the Republican bandwagon when I can get close enough to the guys with the reigns to keep them out of the ruts.

According to the Thomas website, here is the House Agenda so far today June 9, 2008- 12:30 PMThe House convened, starting a new legislative day. 12:31 PMThe Speaker designated the Honorable Ed Perlmutter to actas Speaker pro tempore for today. The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for 2:00 PM today. Now, I want to know where any of us can get a job and show up at 12:30 on Monday, work for ONE MINUTE, and then recess until 2:00PM? I have been watching these goings on in the House for a little while now, and today is a pretty typical day. If you want to see for yourself, click on "on the floor now" item on the right of the screen in the Thomas website

What makes me think that "on the floor now" might as well be a still photograph of a bunch of empty seats....

Any one of us here would be a better lawmaker than the charlatans we have in Washington! The job right now is to make people demand change that we can REALLY believe in! A reverting back to the traditional role of government, the government that PRECEDED the New Deal and the WWI propaganda machine!

I am having a terrible posting day today. I typed the longest post ever as to what the House did today only to find I had been disconnected from the Internet because there was a terrible accident and it took out a telephone pole and lines, no way to save my long post. I just did a modified version only to find that my login was timed out, again no post allowed.
The House today stole more than 190,000 acres of land mostly in Calif. and some in New Mexico adjoining these lands into the Federal Government "National Wilderness Preservation System." They also extended for 5 years the EB-5 regional center pilot Program (Green cards for aliens) I refuse to type out again what it is, you all can google the EB-5 regional center pilot program, it is worth looking into. They are shoving the immigration down our throat one step at a time.
We are all supposed to be looking into what is happening in our gov't, so please go to the "in the house now" pafe. They highlight the bills as the day goes on and you can click on the bill and look into it. I am in a "MOOD" sorry.

The government can justify so many things just by sounding technical, with "National Wilderness Preservation System". It's sheer robbery!
I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with your computer and internet, D Dog!!!
