*****CALL TO ACTION*****CALL TO ACTION*****Back at the beginning of February 2008, you may recall that Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) wanted to pull funding from the city of Berkeley, California upon learning that the Berkeley City Council voted to tell the Marine Corps to remove its recruiting station from the city. Well, our hero, Jim DeMint ( ) is at it again! He, along with some other Senate Republicans, has written a tough new immigration bill, making ENFORCEMENT the focal point! This bill would: *Require jail time (Max. 2-yr. sentence) for all illegal aliens caught violating our sovereignty. *Block Federal funding for all "Sanctuary Cities". *Require that any immigrant, legal or illegal, be DEPORTED for 1 drunk-driving conviction. *Recognize English as the official language. *Etc... The unfortunate truth is, being that Republicans are in the minority, this bill will most likely not pass. BUT, it does serve ONE VERY IMPORTANT PURPOSE!!! It FORCES John McCain to make a decision of standing with his Party, or being a "Maverick", and breaking ranks. Thus, in my opinion, he will be FORCED to "ENDORSE" this bill, which will then be on the platform that he will be running on!!! ;D TO ENSURE THAT THIS HAPPENS WE NEED TO GET BUSY!!!!!!! ;D Contact Jim DeMint, to thank him!!!! He could very well be SAVING the Republican Party, and thus the COUNTRY!!!!! Washington, D.C. Office United States Senate Washington, D.C. 20510 Telephone 202-224-6121 Fax 202-228-5143 CONTACT YOUR MEMBER OF CONGRESS AND TELL THEM TO SUPPORT THIS LEGISLATION!!!! www.visi.com/juan/congress/(HEY! WHAT'S UP WITH THE "JUAN" IN THERE? !!!!!! ) Our other friend, James Inhofe of Oklahoma is also an author of this bill! Don't forget to thank him, as well!!!!! Bless you all!!!!! Melissa M Oh! And did I mention, you can find some other great information at www.thompsoncoalition.com/action.html ?

Yesterday I went on a search to see just what exactly it says in the 2006 Immigration Act that was passed. Reading thru the legaliese and double speak it clearly says that local and state police departments do not have to participate in the crackdowns. Then it goes on to say that the Dept. of Homeland Security has set aside funds which are in the millions and go up every year to assist police departments with training and/or adding to their forces to enforce the laws on the illegals. They have set up training sites to train immigration officers. They state that any military bases that are closing down should be set up as federal prisons to hold illegals until deportation. Therefore local jails will not suffer so much overcrowding. Many local police are claiming that they do not want to arrest or deport illegals as they are their network for turning in real criminals. Has anyone ever heard of any bases that are now holding illegals? The case in Hazleton PA that was shot down in court by a liberal, I'll do whatever I want, judge Joseph Munley has set a bad precedent for the whole country. Other states and local communities now fear they can't do anything either. Prior to becoming a judge, Munley was a contract lawyer for the ACLU. He decided against Hazleton because of the Supremacy Clause, which states that because there is a federal act (2006 Immigration Act), the states and communities cannot enact there own laws on illegal immigration. That's it, his only reason. So now, tell me, states aren't forced to abide by the federal law, but when they do they get shot down in their own states by runaway judges- Am I missing something Also, all police are supposed to be turning in the names, addresses, pictures and etc. to the DHS database on any illegals they find. The DHS doesn't have to provide any reports on the database until 3 years from enactment (2006) which means no info. until 2009. Chertoff will be gone by then and I assure you there will be no info. provided.

Is this the same SAVE Act that has been collecting signatures from both D's & R's on the Discharge Petition for the SAVE Act to force a vote in the House. They now have 185 signatures as of 4/1. Only 33 more are needed. Pray Hard that they can get them. It will force McCain into an expanded discussion on illegal immigration ;D

We had an elder in church (passed on now) who used to say "if you pray for rain, carry an umbrella." By that he meant we should pray and expect God to answer but also he went on to say we should do our part to make it work also. For instance, you pray for a job, then you still have to go apply for some. God does His part if we do ours!

I appreciate the efforts of these faithful representatives of ours; like Senator DemMint and James Inhofe. But we cannot continue to put our political responsiblilty into the hands of politicians. Republicans are the minority in Congress right now and too many of our representatives are corrupt. The people need to act. We need an Anti-Illegal Immigration/Anti-Amnesty rally. A BIG one. On the steps of the Capitol Building in Washington DC. The best organization to sponser this rally IMO would be Grassfire. I tried to contact Steve Elliot, Grassfire President, and encourage him to organize this: Grassfire 866-472-7734 (9-5 central time) www.grassfire.org/index.htm The receptionist refered me to their PR Officer, Ron : 757-488-0255. I had a long converstaion with him. He is very receptive to the idea and offered to support a rally by showing up with Grassfire members and speaking , but their organization, he said, is not equipped to actually organize the rally. I am going to try to contact Duncan Hunter next. We need to stop the flow and we need to stop Amnesty Any suggestions?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA creationist there are no common people that live in DC. They are either lawyers, lobbyists, federal employees or all of the above. Touche! You are so correct Brian. The entire area along with the upper part of VA are all Democrats. They are the ones who put McCain in the winning slot for VA along with the coastal areas that have military bases. Northern VA (where Fred lives) is very heavily populated, hence McCains win here. South and West in the state have pockets of strong Republican areas, but are more rural and don't have as many people. Those areas went strongly for Huckabee as he was the only other candidate running with McCain by that time. I live in upper central VA where all of the New York and New Jersey people retire to, and then their families followed them here. They brought their very liberal values with them. My husband and I say this has become Little New York. The closest city to me is Charlottesville, about 10 miles, and the Board of Supervisors has 1 Republican on it. Last summer 5 of the School Board officials went on a 1 week trip to Italy to study how they run their schools there, on the taxpayers dime. The city is so overbudget, even though they raised the property taxes and city taxes out of the roof last year. This year they gave the teachers big raises so they would be competitive with other areas , and created more school programs Now the property taxes are taking another leap this year. These same liberals that came here for the low tax rates are now screaming ;D I thank the Good Lord that I live in the next county which isn't quite as bad ;D

There is the issue of the hijacked Republican Primary which has forced John McCain on to the Republican Party. McCain is unacceptable for several reasons, but these are the major issues: 1. Will give Amnesty to illegals-For the purpose of growing the Federal Government; raising our taxes to fund the massive entitlement programs, and stripping away rights of American citizens. 2. Will close Guantanamo Bay and bring suspected terrorists to our country affording them Constitutional rights, forcing us to pay for their lawyers and for necessary heightened security, and endangering our security. 3. Is in collusion with bureaucratic Climate change mandates engineered to grow the Federal Government, raise our taxes, and strip away more of our individual rights. We have three VERY important objectives here: 1. Stop John McCain 2. Stop Amnesty 3. Stop Government from usurping more power thru Climate Change hoax.
Now- help me focus- We are going to organize a rally. What should be theme? Who are we going to rally and why?
(A.) A rally for Republicans and Conservatives against McCain-our objectives being: 1. Stop John McCain with following grievances a. We reject the bogus outcome of the hijacked primary b. We refuse to allow our government to give amnesty to 12-20 million illegals. c. We refute Climate Change propaganda and we refuse to be burdened by the Federal Government into compliance with mandates, taxes, and restrictions based on a theory that is being hyped as fact but cannot be proven with empirical scientific data. d. We protest the closing of Guantanamo Bay
~or~
(B.) A rally for ALL Americans-protesting the failures of Federal Government where our objectives are the following demands: 1. Stop Amnesty 2. Aggressive Deportation of Illegals 3. Fine businesses that hire illegals 4. Withhold Federal funding to Sanctuary cities. 5. Freeze legal Immigration til our borders are secure 6. Secure the border 7. Stop Government take-over through Climate change mandates, taxes, and restriction of our rights. 8. Demand that Congress stop blocking efforts toward American progress. Stop blocking our efforts to: a. Drill for oil in Anwar and S. Dakota b. Build nuclear facilities c. Build new oil refinaries
If we go with (B.) we are still stuck with McCain unless we handle that problem through another action. Thoughts?
I need to know the directions so that I can figure out whether to file for a 527 or a 501c in order to raise funds. I should have done it already back in February-it may take 6 weeks -2 months. I would like to do the rally on June 14th-Flag Day-but need to know if there will be time to raise funds.

While I agree with you that most New Yorkers are bleeding heart, ignorant Liberals.... there are a few us Conservatives stuck up here trying to affect change!! ;D ;D It's getting harder and harder though... So please associate those Liberal "types" with the dependent society that lives in the big city...

loriel- I definitely would rally against McCain specifically as that is mainly why we are all here. I would like him gone so that Fred may have another chance. He cannot become our nominee. I would rally the Republicans for allowing this primary to be stolen from the people and ignoring the conservatives. Are there others here that would be able to go to DC. I will have my husband go with me.
Is there a way for us to get other conservatives from other blogs and websites to go with us also?
