I'm doing my part, by wearing a sweater inside, with my air down to 60... I left my truck running outside too. Oh, and the back door is open so the dog can get some air. She is one of God's creatures, right? When can I expect my government issued carbon onset check? Or, am I missing something here? Does Al write these checks? Can't wait to see oblahma rise into the air and shine the light tonight!

The Savior of the Universe?
I'm hoping they use some of the effects from the Red Olympics.

The PEOPLE of the earth do need us now. You know, when people talk about caring for the planet, they personify it in such a way as to be unavoidably pantheistic. As a matter of fact, Darwinism, in the long term, inevitably leads to pantheism, NOT ATHEISM. Atheism was the more immediate result, but since that proved to be meaningless to most, societies as a whole are now embracing universalism (goodness shall come to all who live in the universe) and pantheism (nature is the same thing as what we call "God"). Care for our planet, worship our planet, serve it at our own expense, and people will be happier. Besides, we will not survive as a species without saving our planet from the burdens of industry and overpopulation, right?

One of the most unsubstantiated claims made about overpopulation--I think by Robert McNamara, who would later on head the World Bank--was that if we don't push birth control and other measures (including women's lib to take away interest in procreation), then poverty will increase and Americans will be all dirty and filthy because they're so poor. It had no basis in fact, and birth control was forced by government mandate on the towns and cities of America during the 60s and beyond.
And I read in my world regional geography textbook back in spring that the World Bank makes cell phones cheap throughout the world. More people have cell phones than computers, cars, or telephones. Why would the World Bank be doing a service to humanity? To help people or halt population growth? Cell phones destroy procreation by weakening the sperm.

Americans know something without a name is undermining the nation, turning the mind mushy when it comes to separating truth from falsehood and right from wrong. ~Charlton Heston
