How is it that the top three candidates for POTUS come from a group that less than 25% of the people approve of? Why does the msm ignore this? (RCP Average 01/29 - 02/06 posted on Real Clear Politics)

Strat, The MSM ignores this, because these are the players they WANTED. I really believe the media CHOSE "OUR" Candidate, John McCain. It was SO OBVIOUS that they were totally intimidated by Fred Thompson. I think they feared that he could be another Reagan.

I agree Melissa. I just haven't seen it spelled out anywhere and I wanted to see what other folks thought on the subject.

I bring this point up all the time when talking to people. People like Hilary and Barack especially who want change and bash Bush... he has a higher approval rating than they do!

The folks who control MSM think of us as consumers and taxpayers. They have nothing better to do than "play Monopoly" with us as the thimble, the dog, and the shoe. Think about it!

Gotta vent. My approval rating of the House is at about 1.5%. Today they are wasting evrything on a bill to stop funding for the war on Iraq. If it does pass, Bush will veto, and they don't have enough votes to over-ride. What a waste of energy. Aren't these the people who believe in global warming? They could fix the whole thing just by not chasing their tails on this subject. Instead of calling it the House, perhaps we should call it Pelosi's Polutants. Guess I better let you get back to more important things.

Got this and thought I would pass it on. It is pretty good! Thought you might like to read the following: A little over one year ago: 1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high, Dow a little over 14,000 2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon 3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%. 4) Very low foreclosure rate Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen: 1) Consumer confidence plummet, Dow dropped to less than 12,000 2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon and the Dem's are proposing an additional gasoline use tax of 50 cents per gallon. If this war is really because we want to steal Iraq's oil why isn't our gas almost FREE ?? 3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase); 4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses) . 5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars 6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure, because their usable income has dropped and now they can't pay their mortgages.. I wonder what "changed" Let's vote for more "change" , higher taxes to pay for "political football health care" like Canada has and shortly that's all we will have is "pocket change". America voted for "change" in 2006, and WOW.....we got it! How much more "change" can we stand

One little adjustment to your comments sbenn.
The proposed 50 cents per gallon gasoline tax is not just a Democrat proposal. It is legislation that JOHN MCCAIN AND JOE LIEBERMAN have been working on.
Yes, another great reason to vote for John McCain.

I can only hope that this major change (backwards) bites the libs in the butt at election time. Let's pray that Pelosi's bungleing of the house will be her terrible downfall. Now wait, isn't she from one of the most liberal areas in Calif.? I guess it was just a dream!!!

I wanted to see how things were going. Still backwards. RCP Average congessional approval rating down to 18.5%. And we all thought 24% was bad.

Maybe we can convince the voting public that things are worse with a Democratic congress and it is time to [glow=red,2,300]CHANGE back!!!! [/glow]Let's talk to people, write letters, post and keep letting people know that the this congress has done a LOUSY job!
