It sure is! Popcorn. Stock up on it. Good advice form Dan McLauglin!!! lol Will people learn that we have so little control from this? I wonder. I could be wrong, but doesn't it always come down to the Electoral College??? When has the popular vote alone ever elected a President? Are any of these SuperDelegates Middle Class? Are they Patriots, or will they continue to sell us out for profit, with the blessings of American Dummies willing to help them do it? Then again, maybe there is some good of this on our side and for our sake. Stand Strong! Always.

That video of the Gipper's speech is very powerful. Important on days like today. In fact I included it on my post mentioning his birthday today. Amazing how a speech from 1964 can still have so much meaning 40-some years later. Happy Birthday Mr. Reagan. brvanlanen.wordpress.com/2008/02/06/happy-birthday-gipper/

p.s. If you go to my web site, at the bottom of the page you will see and hear Zell Miller, Democrat, speaking at the 2004 Republican Convention. It is inspiring to say the least. And when you hear a FredHead sign off, "Stand Strong", you realize it is more than just a phrase. Stand Strong Krell, I know this ENTIRE SPEECH BY HEART!!!!!!! I have watched it at least 100 times!!!!!!! ;D Melissa

Frank J at IMAO has an idea about where to go from here: If the Republican ticket is McCain/Huckabee, what should we do? I say we all head down to Mexico, take it over, and make it a conservative utopia.
Let's be sure to make a border fence, though. Sounds like a plan!

If there were enough uncommitted delegates to vote for Fred on the first ballot maybe something might get started - I don't believe that a majority of delegates will we thrilled with any of the remaining candidates. I'm not politically savvy enough or connected enough to do anything - but whatever I can do, I will. We're going to a fund raiser for our Senator who is running this year and I'm going to ask him about it. I know he supported Fred from the first.

The other option is to do like Louisiana and vote uncommitted and tell the Republican establishment that you want a "Real" Candidate.
If Conservatives will unite and talk to every disgruntaled voter you see or speak to and plant the seed we do not have to settle. We can go for a brokered convention.
Uncommitted won Louisiana, Uncommitted may well win Texas as well. Help get Thompson and Hunter people selected as the uncommitted delegates, so in a brokered convention we can get a conservative to represent us in November!!!

My views on this election is always evolving. The more I read from you, other conservative sites and listening to talk radio. But I have to say I have been so inspired by the video of Zell Miller at the GOP convention that I feel nothing is impossible. Who would have ever thought a devoted democrat would stand up to his whole party..heck the whole nation to support a Pesident of the opposite party. He did because of his convictions and his unwillingness to sit idolly by and let justice and liberty be cast aside because of the lack of fellow democrats to be Americans first. I cannot just vote and hope anymore. It is time to Stand Strong .

Maggie - That's what makes Zell Miller what he is - a man of "Principles". Who does that sound like? I would love to see Zell Miller give another speech like this for Fred Thompson. That would be awesome. If I ever vote for a Democrat, it would be Zell Miller.

Forget Hunter, he supported Huckabee, Newt Supports Huckabee, You know why Fred is Like Reagan, he has endorsed nobody in a primary, just like Reagan.

Greetings from SoCal...I did drive by Reagan's Ranch near Agoura last night, still majestic. I like to think I see a bit what inspired him to pride for this great country.
Krell,
You make a compelling point about writing in Fred through the General election.
Whether I fo so may depend in which Democratic candidate is on the ballot (voting for either is not an option).
Until I hear otherwise, and I'm sure I will, Obama is less distasteful then Hillary. He may have his own hidden biases, and will undoubtedly still be further corrupted by the Democratic (ML)King makers, but Hillary is already a known prospect.
Accordingly, while McCain's crossover appeal may be problematic from a conservative standpoint, he'd be more likely to take a rebuke from the base, as he at least gives lip service to the huge amnesty backlash last year. Now, he may or not be listening once he doesn't have a campaign hinging on his popularity, but there's no doubt that either Democrat's response to the right only range from antipathy to defiance.
So the decision will be made whether a vote for McCain is worth it to counter Hillary, or let him lose to Obama by sticking with the principled principal...FDT.
