I encourage all of us here to stay out of the Goldeneagle threads. I will not even go in them and read them. It only gives him more power to spew his vitriol.

Hope those delegates and those who still have an opportunity to vote "Stand Strong" with the MSM trying to help McCain.
Standing Strong and voting for the Tall Man tomorrow.

Was over in Wisconsin (by computer) checking posts and found this site to sign a petition. Seems as thought McCain is supposed to debate Huckabee and backed out! So, if you are so inclined, go and sign this letter to McCain to debate. I think it is great. ;)http://www.petitiononline.com/jkb1961/petition.html

Ok since this is the open thread I need to vent.
I will be SO happy when the WI primary is over. I've seen so many commercials from "Mr. Empty Suit" the last three or four days I almost know them by heart - love how he claims to have a plan. Surprisingly very few Hillary commercials but I think she knew WI was a lost cause.
However our "presumed" Republican nominee must be feeling some heat. He's obviously bought a great deal of airtime here. I am so sick of his commercials they both (I think he's only alternating two) start with the POW pictures. Don't get me wrong I understand he's a war hero but he makes it SO OBVIOUS he has nothing else to run on but his past status and national security (minus the whole border debacle of course).
So the last two nights on I've made the mistake of watching "local" TV and in prime time it's almost every other commercial being Barack or Juan. God help me because they are already talking about WI being a battleground in Nov. and if it's these two I'll go crazy because it be about 20 times worse.
Why can't McCain just implode already and open the door a little wider for the true conservative - Fred Thompson.
Ok rant over. Still "Standing Strong in WI".

Found a neat quote today. "If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under." - Ronald Reagan I know Fred agreed with this one!

I've been looking for inspiration today, thinking of how Fred has said "this is a battle for the heart and soul" and to "Stand Strong". I checked out Heritage's What Would Reagan Do site and on a whim went over to see if there was any Youtube of Ron's first inaugural address. Came across this great video. Unlike Mr. EmptySuit and his "Yes we can" phrase, Ronald Reagan showed us that "Yes we can" do anything if we BELIEVE and HOPE in ourselves and don't rely on government. I've posted it here: brvanlanen.wordpress.com/2008/02/19/yes-we-can/This is why this election is SO important. Well I have to go cast my vote for Fred.

Has anyone heard a peep from Fred since his withdrawal from the race? He has become totally absent from the public eye, does anyone have any ideas why? Also, how is his mom?

Brad, Like you last night, tonight I need to 'vent'......It was nice to watch the MSM putdown HRc...It was nice. It was disheartening to watch McAmnesty echo FRED's points. So many positions that he has so confidently gravitated towards? ?? I makes me sick. FRED would be SO MUCH BETTER for this country and I can't believe WHY his message was not heard?? So I came up with THIS QUESTION..... Perhaps OUR FIRST MISSION should be to get FRED a FIRST LINE, PRIME TIME, "SPEECH" at the convention. Perhaps we could Focus Our first "Marching Order" to get this done......I believe that given 20mins on a National Stage, FRED can make his point!!!!!!! Who has the NRP email!!!! Who can get a phone # Ok folks, Its time for action!!!!!! Sorry, I'm fired up like I haven't been since FRED08!!!!!! Let’s STAND TALL!!!!!!! Thanks for listening, God Bless Night from a clear St. Louis Jeff Childress E-mail addresses and ways to reach many GOP headquarters are posted under the board Call to action.
