In case no one has hear (which I find unlikely in this group) McCain is expected to announce his VP pick tomorrow at a rally in Dayton Ohio. Speculation by the local conservative talk radio hosts in SF is that the pick is someone from Ohio, my home state. John Kasich's name was mentioned who is someone that I had been hoping would have tried to run for the presidential nomination.
I know how most of us feel about McCain - but I think if Kasich was 2nd on the ticket - I would not only be inclined to vote for McCain, but would actively campaign for the GOP ticket as well.
For those of you who don't know or remember who Kasich is - he became the budget committee chairman in the House when the Republicans took over in '94 and was the single greatest influence in getting the budget balanced - which of course Clinton took the credit.

Seems Romney is slipping off the short list, which is fine, he ain't a conservative. McPuppet really wants LIEberman. He would. I wish Sarah Palin would be the pick, myself. She is too good, though. She is an American Conservative. Still can't stomach voting against oblahma through McPuppet though. Not that it matters...

Since the American citizenry has never "elected" a U.S. President, what are the Presidential elections???
They are a smoke screen to keep your minds and attention off of the Congressional and Senatorial races.
Think about it.

And local and state races as well. As are the conventions, and such a waste of TAXPAYER dollars. Millions of them, so these creeps can say HEY, LOOK AT ME, LOOK WHAT I HAVE DONE!!! I have been pushing the word about the presidential distraction to everyone I know, and some I don't...

We need a true conservative for his VP. Any good influence on McCain will be appreciatied. The national debt in one of the biggest threats to our country. If Kaisich good help with that it would be a step in the right direction. How is he on immigration?

McCain will listen to the CFR puppet masters rather than any true conservative he might choose.
Brian B, below, all I can say is "Run Jim Run". We cannot afford to lose him. He is a true strong conservative voice in the Senate.

Palin would be a great pick, or Jindal. I really hope that Palin runs in 2012 for the whole shootin' match. There's a woman I could campaign for.
sbenn - Sarah Palin is the Govenor of Alaska.
As for the House and Senate...my guys made it through the primaries and I am currently volunteering and making calls for Senator Inhoffe.

08/21/2008 “Scared-of-Obama-Don’t –Trust-McCain” Tour Heads To S.C. A conservative columnist, radio talk show host and minister from Pensacola, Fl, (www.ChuckBaldwinLive.com) Chuck Baldwin has emerged as the ‘antidote’ for those who say “I ‘m scared of Obama and don’t trust McCain.” Baldwin, the only 100% pro- life, pro-secure borders, pro-second amendment, thoroughly constitutionally-correct candidate has been endorsed by a three time New York Times best–selling author (www.nytimes.com), as noted recently on the front page of the New York Times. In addition, Baldwin placed ahead of McCain in a WorldNetDaily poll . “More Americans are telling me they can no longer pretend there’s a dime’s worth of difference between the two “Big Box” party candidates when it comes to illegal immigration, abortion, gun rights and an out-of-control IRS,” Baldwin added. Recent New York Times reporting (www.nytimes.com ) shows this third party candidate could likely swing November’s election as more voters refuse to vote for the “lesser of two evils”: The Power of the Protest Vote: Don’t be surprised if third or fourth party presidential candidates garner enough votes in November to make a difference in some of the hotly contested swing states. The polls show more than enough Republican disaffection with John McCain’s candidacy to make a case that …another right-of-center candidate could take votes away from the G.O.P. standard bearer www.constitutionparty.com/news.php?aid=762

08/22/2008 Rally Set For “Massive” Move On DNC Turf ‘Who’s Who’ Of Pro- Secure Borders Movement Gather As Democrats Open Convention: Largest 3rd Party Presidential Campaign Headlines Event Grand Rapids, MI An anti-illegal immigration rally (www.rightmarch.com) is scheduled for Monday, August 25th at Denver’s Congress Park near the site of the Democratic National Convention. The protest is designed for thousands of Americans to show the pro-amnesty, pro-open borders Democrats that their anti-U.S. policies are not in line with the overwhelming majority of voters. The lineup of speakers includes pro-American, pro-secure borders champions like U.S. Congressman Tom Tancredo (R. CO), Minuteman Civil Defense Corps’ Chris Simcox and Carmen Mercer as well as Constitution Party (www.constitutionparty.com) vice-presidential candidate, attorney and Viet Nam veteran Darrell Castle. Castle, and Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin (www.baldwin08.com) represent the largest and fastest-growing third party based on voter registration (Ballot Access News). The Constitution Party’s growth has been attributed to “voters who’ve decided they cannot vote for the pro-amnesty, sovereignty-destroying policies being pushed by both parties’ candidates”, Castle explained. Further noting, “Wherever Chuck Baldwin and I go on campaign stops we hear Americans saying, “I’m afraid of Obama and I don’t trust McCain”. The immigration issue is huge and Americans are realizing that the Constitution Party offers the only pro-secure borders, anti-amnesty candidates for president and vice president. None of the major or minor party candidates represent the will of Americans when it comes to the illegal immigration crisis. The Constitution Party is their only viable choice come November”, Castle added. www.constitutionparty.com/news.php?aid=764

The way I see it, anyone who is willing to stoop so low as to accept a VP slot with John McCain is not worthy of trust. I think neither Romney nor Huckabee will be the pick, since the Romney-Huckabee sparring is still very strong within the party. Not that I really care too much who gets picked; it's obvious that McCain is going to get in if he's nominated at the convention, when he's backed by the most powerful people in the world (I mean that very literally; they are more wealthy and powerful than any other people in the world), the Rothschilds. If it's the conservative darling Bobby Jindal, then he's got to be a phony, because NOBODY truly believes that, if he becomes McCain's VP, he can steer McCain back towards the traditional modus operandi.
It's not just FAUX News that has sweetened people on McCain through picking incessantly on Obama. (In fact, the media sweetened people on the Soviet Union in WWII because we were fighting the "infinitely worse" Hitler in WWII. Later, historians concluded that it was totally dishonest to claim that.) We have, to blame for this mess, "Operation Chaos" starring Rush "I'm the only one who matters" Limbaugh. And we have every other conservative media in the vanguard--online, TV, radio--to blame as well, because, in perfect concordance with each other, they have all gradually let up on McCain and given him a free pass. The two longest-lasting pretenders were Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin, railing against McCain almost daily, and then finally conceding that McCain is inevitable.
And then you had Rick Warren's farce, with the notable absense of Chuck Baldwin to "prove" that Baldwin isn't "deserving" of the presidency. Of course, Obama has been nominated just yesterday, according to Brad's report, and Hillary would have been too similar of an opponent for McCain, so that conservatives would be unable to find either of them acceptable. They both are arrogant, deceitful, and openly disrespectful in PERSONALITY (Obama is in a more suave manner), and I think people would have woken up to that come the first debate. On the other hand, Obama has the ability to blunder his way through most speeches, ever since the media destroyed his gains through the Rev. Wright "news". McCain looks more experienced, so it's an easy choice for others. And it's an easy choice for me to determine that he is the most dangerous upcoming leader in America today.
